Charli XCX is marking the 5th anniversary of her album, How I’m Feeling Now, by sharing a heartfelt letter to fans on Instagram. She also announced a music video for the viral hit track, “party 4 u,” which recently entered the Billboard Hot 100 five years after its release. “I made the album in just five weeks, from conception to release, entirely publicly in collaboration with all of you,” Charli wrote about the album’s origins, which was created during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It was so special. I felt like I rediscovered myself, my sanity + my sense of connection with the world, at a time where we were all so alone.” Despite the record’s modest commercial success – peaking at No. 111 on the Billboard 200 chart – it remains a fan favorite, and the social media buzz surrounding “party 4 u” prompted Charli to unveil plans to release an accompanying music video on Thursday (May 15). Charli just finished her Brat Tour in the U.S., and she’ll kick off the European leg on May 31 in Poland. (Billboard)
