Disney+ has announced that Mariah Carey will return as a guest star in the fourth and final season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The appearance marks a reunion with the franchise after Carey previously made a guest appearance during the original run of the animated series.
The announcement comes as Disney+ prepares to launch the final season on July 29. Carey joins a group of guest stars that includes Chloe Bailey and Ali Wong, adding more familiar names to the show’s farewell chapter.
The new season follows Penny Proud as she continues to navigate the challenges of growing up while balancing friendships, family life, and new opportunities. At the same time, the Proud family faces major changes that shape the direction of the story.
Since its revival, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder has introduced a new generation of viewers to the beloved characters while continuing the story for longtime fans. The final season is expected to bring several storylines to a close as the series reaches its conclusion.
Disney+ also plans to release a stop motion holiday special later this year featuring original music connected to the franchise.
